Retired Batsman

A batsman can retire if he is injured or ill during batting. He/She can then resume their innings when another batsman is dismissed or retires. If all (except the last batsman not on strike) the batsman are dismissed and the batsman can not resume their innings, then the innings is ended. The retirement does not count as being out in the batsman's statistics.
